With the principles of ‘keeping dollars in the local economy’ and ‘community well-being’ - Maui County has embraced the greater National Small Business Week(*) with a program of educational events similar to those hosted by larger cities. This is one of many ways that Maui County validates and celebrates its small business community role in making the local economy more vibrant. In 2014, Maui Coun
ty officials, prompted by a Maui Business Brainstormers initiative, chose to join the National Small Business Week(*) celebration by offering five days of free, educational events to benefit local entrepreneurs and small businesses owners and managers. 2015's Maui SBW will again offer free educational workshops and seminars presented by top-notch guest presenters and business subject-matter experts from Hawai'i (Maui, O'ahu) and California (Berkeley, Los Angeles and San Francisco.)
