"Serving Community Roles with Caribbean Souls" with a focus on FUNdraising, volunteering, & music.

We are a group that meets monthly for Jump Ups, which are social outings. We also do many volunteer and community service events in our area, and raise funds for charities. We're always looking for fun, community minded people to join our club!

The Wolf Pack, featuring our very own Dani Hoy & Chris Rehm, along with Tiffani Green, Henry Fuller, Paulie Walterson, & Jerry Thees, will be filling the American Legion with an eclectic mix of island music, soft rock, latin beats, & original tunes this Saturday, June 27 from 7:00-10:00. And here’s the cool part…this band isn’t charging for their performance. They’re playing for tips & to help support the American Legion & our veterans 🇺🇸! Some come on down for a fun evening…where the music is marvelous 🎶, the friends are fantastic 😊, the drinks are cheap 🍻, & the a/c is cool 🥶! Hope to see you Saturday evening!

STORIES BEHIND THE MUSIC

Who’s looking for a relaxing evening of music, stories, and probably a few laughs, AND wants to avoid the noise and crowds of other venues? If this is you, then plan on joining B-Man, mi-Shell, and Tiffani Green on Wednesday, July 8 in the Ready Room of Rick’s Entertainment Complex. You’ll hear some tunes from their new album, some old favorites, and the stories of how those songs came to be. Seats are limited so please call now to reserve your seats. $10 from each ticket sold will be donated to our club so that we can use it to help support all the other charities we work with throughout the year! Hope to see you there!

Drum roll please!!!! Thanks to our generous attendees and great sponsors, and of course the wonderful musicians who go along with our crazy ideas for raising money, we're happy to announce that we'll be writing this big check for $50,000 to Care Camps Foundation so that kids with cancer can attend summer camp! THANK YOU again to everyone who donated! Can't wait to do it again next year!

💛 The Joy of Camp 💛

A week at camp can mean so much more than outdoor adventures and new friendships. For children facing cancer, it’s a chance to laugh freely, build confidence, make lasting memories, and simply be kids.

We believe in the healing power of joy, connection, and community. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, children affected by cancer can experience the magic of camp in a safe and supportive environment.

Together, we're helping create smiles!😁

We wrapped up a very busy week with our Sail Away Brunch on Sunday morning. Music from Trenton Chandler at our new home bar, Viva Argentinian Steakhouse, provided a great setting as we said our goodbyes to everyone who was traveling back to their homes. We got a few last minute donations, gave out a few more door prizes, & enjoyed these friends until we see them next year!

Saturday night is always amazing and this year was no exception! Thom Shepherd (minus Coley who was a bit under the weather 😮‍💨🤧), along with John Patti & an amazing band set the stage for a great evening of music, dancing, & fun! There was nothing “puzzling” about how to donate to the Camp Camps Foundation…just find out where your piece fits 🧩 and grab a beverage 🍹 from the Castaway Tiki Hut Bar 🛖!

Oh, Mother Nature🌧️!! As of yesterday, Key West was about 7” behind on annual precipitation. But all that began changing around noon as we received between 4.5-5” of rain in just a couple of hours. The pool was empty, but our Castaways still made good use of the pool bar 😄! A valiant effort was made to move John Patti under the awning on the deck, but even that proved to be a bit damp, so into the ballroom we went! And it turned out so great because John gave us an opportunity to ask questions about his career, his instruments, etc., & then he even had us come up on stage for a close-up lesson on how to play steel pans! Meanwhile, the silent auction took place as scheduled near the lobby. Rain can’t stop the Castaways! 😊

Welcome to the Care Camps Olympics (aka the Hangover Classic)! We started out with our athletes group photo and then the games included Target Toss 🎯, Granny Pants 🧓🏻 👖, and Corn Hole🌽 🕳️ . The red team came out victorious with 543 points! Congrats to all of our Olympic athletes! And a huge Thank You to Debbie Poppagin for the yummy puddin’ shots for all athletes 😋. And what is an Olympic medal ceremony without the impromptu national anthem 🇺🇸🎶 ?!?

Thank you Jerry Diaz (aka the Godfather of Trop Rock) & the Reef for a great night of entertainment 🎶 🎸 🪘! From Jimmy Buffet to Kenny Chesney to the Beach Boys and more, the music was the perfect setting for CASTAWAYS. The amazing luau buffet, fun costumes, lots of friends, laughing, & dancing made for a great evening…and we even had a surprise guest and raised a little money along the way 😊!
