A few of our FFA members helped with grilling pork patties for the Kewanee homecoming bonfire dinner. The patties were generously donated by the Illinois Pork Producers, which we are very grateful for! Ag Ed: Remy Hicks and Mikayla Ouart. These students created a lesson plan, demonstrated a mini agriculture-related lesson, completed a lesson video reflection, and took an exam on Illinois agriculture education.
Remy Hicks WON! And will be advancing to Districts in Geneseo on October 28th.
Mikayla Ouart was 1st in Junior Varsity! Mikayla was the second-highest score of the day, behind Remy and 8 points ahead of 3rd. A school can only advance one student. BUT! That doesn’t diminish the bright light that is in this future educator!

Job Interview: Evelyn Favela. She created a resume, completed a job application, interviewed, and wrote a follow-up letter.

Last Wednesday, our Forestry Team competed at the Section 3 Forestry CDE. While they were there, they did equipment ID, map and compass reading, as well as 2 written tests. We are so proud to announce that they placed 3rd as a team overall!
