100 followers?! Hi, friends!

With so many new faces here, I thought this was the perfect time to officially introduce myself!

I’m Austen, the founder of Giggles & Growth…but more importantly, I’m a mom who knows just how much we need spaces where our little ones can play, explore, get messy, and just be kids… while we get to find a little community too.

I created Giggles & Growth because I wanted more than just a sensory class. I wanted a place where moms and caregivers could walk in, feel welcomed, meet other parents, and watch their little ones learn and grow through play.

What started as an idea has slowly turned into something so special. I’ve gotten to watch little ones become more confident each week, see familiar faces turn into friendships, and build the kind of community I really hoped for when I started this.

And now there are 100 of you here supporting it. That may seem like a small number to some, but to me, it means the absolute world.

Thank you for following, sharing my posts, coming to classes, telling your friends, and believing in this community of ours.

Giggles & Growth is a new program for ages 6mo-3 years old! This class invites little ones to explore textures, sounds and colors through playful, hands-on sensory activities. Hi!! I’ve had a few recent inquiries about registration. All registration for classes must be completed through kvparks.com, click the drop down menu, select the recreation drop down, and click youth enrichment. From there you will find giggles & growth with all available dates to register. ❤️

🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨

We will no longer be posting any identifiable photos of children’s faces on our personal or child development page. Signed release or not.

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that privately possessing AI-generated CSAM depicting “fictional” children can be constitutionally protected when it stays within the home. So, we should probably talk about the recent federal court ruling involving AI-generated child sexual abuse material.. The court ruled that the federal government cannot criminalize the private, in-home possession of obscene AI-generated CSAM under the statute at issue
so anyone can go and use any picture of a child’s face or body and make child sexual abuse material and it is completely LEGAL.

That is enough for me to say I will not be a part of the problem. If our government and laws aren’t going to adequately protect children from what AI can do with their images, then we feel a responsibility to do our part to protect them.

Will this affect my business? Probably. Do I care? Honestly, no.

I would rather make the decision to protect a child’s privacy and safety than worry about what it might mean for my business. I always want to make the best choices I can and, years from now, be able to say I tried to be on the right side of history. My students’ parents trust me with their babies and their memories. That trust will always mean more to me than a photo on my page. Therefore, we will be more intentional about blurring or covering the faces of our students with emojis to ensure their safety. I am a mom, and I will/would protect any child like they were my own. 🤍

Such a fun start to a Saturday morning!!!

Seeing this little community continue to grow seriously means more to me than I can say. Whether today was your first class or you’ve been coming back week after week … THANK YOU for spending your Saturday morning with us.
