Last week in Mrs. Yarnott's 6th grade math class students completed a STEM project. For the project, groups were tasked to create a catapult to throw a candy pumpkin using limited materials. Students had to test their catapult's accuracy and throwing distance. They then collected data in the form of a decimal, fraction, and percent. Each group did a wonderful job!

5th Grade PEAKS at Discovey started the year with a quick rocket study. Today we ended our time with a successful launch! Rockets flew to approximately 400 feet before deploying a parachute. The fun is following the rocket as it coasts back to the ground. Only one ended up on the school's roof! Success! :)
