🎸🥁 OMEA is excited to partner with Music Will once again!

This FREE hands-on course is your introduction to Modern Band and the Music Will Approach — a student-centered way of teaching music-making, improvisation, and composition. You'll learn how approximation and scaffolding help students find their comfort zone and grow as musicians.

Participants will get hands-on with the full Modern Band toolkit — guitar, keyboard, drums, vocals, bass, and technology — and pick up playing skills and pedagogy for each instrument. Then you'll put it all together, composing and performing an original song in a collaborative setting.

Whether you're brand new to Modern Band or looking to deepen your practice, this session has something for you. 🎶

Congratulations to doctoral student Jennie Rozsa who is the Director of the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses. She recently conducted the choir in Britten’s War Requiem at Severance Hall with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus & Klaus Mäkelä.
