There is much to be proud of in KISD. I absolutely love any meeting where we get to recognize student achievements and all of their hard work getting there. We have some of the best educators who pour their knowledge, time and hearts into these amazing programs.

KHS presents “Beetlejuice Jr.” We laughed out loud several times. The acting, singing, choreography, sets, costumes, lighting, and sound were impressive. Wildcats across the district were able to be part of this production. The shows are run by students, which makes it a valuable learning experience for the crew and cast. I appreciate Mrs. Hullett for letting the students have this unique hands-on opportunity that strengthens a wide variety of skills and builds confidence. There are still a few performances left today and tomorrow. Go grab your tickets and support these amazing students.

WTG, KJHS band 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

At the September school board meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing the Kennedale Junior High School Band for their incredible success this past year 🎶

Competing against more than 200 other bands in Class 2C, they earned 1st place at Region, then at Area, and finished with 1st place at STATE this past summer 🏆

Their award-winning performance of "Fearless" by Carol Chambers was directed by Meghan Lockwood, who is now the band director at KHS!

We are so proud of their hard work, talent, and dedication. What an outstanding achievement for our Wildcats!
