The election results are in, and while I won’t be joining the school board this term, I want to take a moment to say thank you.
Nearly 700 voters in the northern tier showed up to support me, many without ever having met me. That kind of trust and encouragement means more than I can say. I’m proud of the campaign we ran and grateful for the conversations, connections, and care that came from it.
A heartfelt congratulations to Matt Biniek and Mike Sailsbery on their victories. I know they’ll keep students, teachers, and families at the center of their work, and I’m cheering them on as they step into this important role.
Our district faces some real challenges: financial, structural, and social, and I believe now more than ever, we need leaders who unite rather than divide. Let’s keep showing up for one another. Let’s keep building a school system rooted in equity, community, and care.
In just a couple of years, my daughter will begin kindergarten, and I can’t wait to see all the great things this district will offer her. The future is here, and I’m hopeful.
