Cap Decorating Guidelines

To students: We urge students to be respectful of this opportunity. These guidelines have been created with input from students, teachers, and administrators. This is not only a representation of our school, but of our families and community.

• Caps must be school appropriate as defined in the Keene High School Student Handbook. Specifically prohibiting the following: “To refrain from wearing clothing that displays offensive or disruptive symbols or statements (i.e., topics of s*x, drugs, alcohol, etc.)
• Caps should display encouraging quotes, organizations that students belong to, or the college, university, workplace, or other destination (military, trade school, etc.) in which a student is going, for example. The decoration of caps is not limited to these things, but any decoration must be appropriate as defined above and/or by school administration and class advisors.
• The Keene High School administration, staff, and senior class advisors reserve the right to deem any cap inappropriate and have the authority to take disciplinary or other action that they deem necessary.
• The Keene High School administration and senior class advisors should screen all senior caps to ensure that violations aren’t present.
• Decoration on caps should be two dimensional to not create distraction and should be easily removed in the event that the display on the cap is inappropriate.
• The Keene High School administration and senior class advisors have the authority to establish any other regulations on the decoration of caps as they deem necessary. To wit:
o Only the top of the cap may be decorated. No hanging off the sides.
o Caps must be decorated on the student’s own time, with their own materials.
o Decorations will be for Graduation only (not Baccalaureate).
o Violations of any of the above may result in the student not being able to march.

By decorating my cap, I understand all of the rules and regulations.

Hello everyone! I am very sorry about the lack of communication on my part. Like all of you, I have had so much going on with the school year winding down, but I should have kept you all more informed. Class Council has decided to donate our senior gift in memory of Jacob Matthews. We will be planting a Dogwood tree with some flowers in the grassy area across from the practice football fields. There will also be plaque in his memory. The tree will be planted at 8am on Thursday if anyone would like to attend prior to Salmagundi. Also, 300 guitar picks have been purchased. Each person in our class can sign one, or write on one at the senior class picnic. They will be put in a jar and will be present at graduation. Again, I apologize for the lack of communication, and I hope this answers everyone's questions. Feel free to message us with any other inquiries.

Keene High Seniors! Do you know someone who wants to be a contestant in Mr. Keene High? We are in desperate need of contestants because without them, the event may be canceled!!!! It would be so sad to have to cancel this event due to lack of participation, so please reach out to anyone who wants to get involved and have a chance to donate their winnings to a cause or charity of their choice! Any potential contestants should contact Zac Caspersen or another Student Council member by Thursday, April 6th. Thank you!
