Some people work hard. Some people show up every day. And then there's Drey. For 11 seasons, Drey has been a part of Hagan Detasseling —the longest-serving employee on our crew. That alone is something special. But what makes his story truly remarkable is this: for the last 10 seasons, he has not missed a single day of work. Think about that for a moment. Ten years of early alarms. Ten years of hot days, muddy fields, soaking rain, aching feet, and miles of walking through corn. Ten years of choosing commitment over excuses. That's a level of dedication that is almost impossible to put into words. Drey has been a leader, a mentor, and someone our younger detasselers look up to. Whether he's training newbies, leading a crew, flagging fields, or simply setting the example through his actions, he has always represented everything we hope Hagan Detasseling stands for.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of watching him grow from a teenager into an outstanding man. His work ethic, humility, kindness, and loyalty have earned the respect of everyone around him. Drey, your commitment has helped shape the culture of our company, and your example has inspired hundreds of young people who have worked alongside you over the years.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us 11 incredible seasons and for an unbelievable streak of 10 straight seasons of perfect attendance. We are beyond grateful for your loyalty, your friendship, and the example you set every single day.
