This is going to be any and all facts from my college text books about history that I think are interesting.
Valley Forge: each man was entitled to raw or cure meat, yet most soldiers at Valley Forge lived entirely on a diet of fire cakes, made of flour and water baked in the coals or over the fire on a stick. This is due to Congress not supply the American troops with what they need.
The Americans made a last minute fort made out of flimsy wood. Much to their surprise and the British this wood absorbed the cannon fire, dropping each cannon ball to the ground.
Did you know that the Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on Breed's Hill?
Im not trying to start a fight or anything but the section im reading is talking about how two governments are fighting each other over seas and how the British are better equipped than the americans. This kinda reminds me of America now (Britain) and Iraq (America). Im not saying anything negative im just looking at the possible connections to war in todays terms.
