This summer, Katy ISD continues its commitment to ensuring all children in the Katy area have access to healthy, well-balanced meals, free of charge, through the Katy ISD Summer Food Service which starts on Monday, June 1, with select locations starting on Thursday, May 28. Please review the chart for Summer Meals locations, dates and times.

Summer meals will consist of a free hot breakfast and/or lunch, which will be served in the school cafeteria area. Children under the age of 18 must be present to obtain a free meal and are not required to show identification or be Katy ISD students. Parents are welcome to purchase a meal to enjoy with their children.

Este verano, Katy ISD continúa con su compromiso de garantizar que todos los niños del área de Katy tengan acceso a comidas saludables y bien balanceadas, completamente gratis, a través del Programa de Servicio de Alimentos de Verano de Katy ISD, el cual comienza el lunes 1 de junio, con algunas ubicaciones iniciando el jueves 28 de mayo. Por favor, consulte la tabla a continuación para conocer las ubicaciones, fechas y horarios de las comidas de verano.

Las comidas de verano consistirán en un desayuno caliente y/o almuerzo gratuito, los cuales se servirán en el área de la cafetería escolar.

Los niños menores de 18 años deben estar presentes para recibir una comida gratuita y no es necesario mostrar identificación ni ser estudiantes de Katy ISD. Los padres son bienvenidos a comprar una comida para disfrutar junto con sus hijos.

Today was a special day at King Elementary as we celebrated both our Senior Clap Out and our 5th Grade Clap Out/Party! 💙💛

We were so happy to welcome back our Class of 2026 seniors as they walked the hallways once again, inspiring our younger students and reminding us how quickly the years fly by. Seeing former King students return with smiles, memories, and bright futures ahead was truly heartwarming.

To our amazing 5th graders — your next chapter begins now! We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see all the incredible things you will do.

Hoy fue un día muy especial en King Elementary al celebrar nuestro Pasillo de Aplausos para los Seniors y el Pasillo de Aplausos para los estudiantes de 5.º grado y su fiesta. 💙💛

Nos dio mucha alegría recibir nuevamente a nuestros estudiantes de la Clase del 2026 mientras caminaban por los pasillos una vez más, inspirando a nuestros estudiantes más pequeños y recordándonos lo rápido que pasan los años. Ver a nuestros exalumnos regresar con sonrisas, recuerdos y un futuro brillante fue realmente conmovedor.

Para nuestros increíbles estudiantes de 5.º grado: ¡su próximo capítulo comienza ahora! Estamos muy orgullosos de todo lo que han logrado y no podemos esperar para ver todas las cosas maravillosas que harán.
