Cambodia 🇰🇠Orders African Nationals to Leave The Country.
The Cambodian government has issued a directive ordering African nationals living in the country under a temporary immigration waiver to leave by May 31, 2026, or face arrest, imprisonment, and heavy fines.
The countries specifically mentioned in reports include:
Ghana
Kenya
Cameroon
Uganda
Cambodian authorities also referred more broadly to “other African nationals,” suggesting the order may affect additional African citizens beyond those named publicly.
What measures led to this?
According to Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration, the government had previously granted a temporary waiver arrangement to some African migrants and overstayers. That waiver is now expiring.
The crackdown appears tied to several developments:
Immigration enforcement campaign
Cambodia says it is tightening enforcement of immigration laws and targeting undocumented foreigners and visa overstayers. Authorities warned that anyone remaining after June 1 could:
be arrested,
jailed for up to two years,
fined $8,000 before deportation.
Cybercrime and scam-center crackdown:
Cambodia has faced growing international pressure over online scam compounds and trafficking networks operating in the country, especially in areas like Preah Sihanouk. Reports say some Africans were trafficked or lured there with promises of jobs in casinos, customer service, or tech work.
End of special waivers:
Authorities stated that foreigners whose immigration fines had been cleared were still required to leave once the waiver expired. Enforcement operations are expected to intensify beginning June 1, 2026.
Human rights groups and migration experts have raised concerns because some affected Africans may be trafficking victims rather than ordinary immigration violators.

Equality in a relationship between a man and a woman means both people have equal worth, equal respect, and an equal voice — even if they have different strengths, roles, or personalities.
It doesn’t mean doing everything exactly 50/50 all the time.
It means:
Mutual respect — neither person is treated as superior or inferior
Shared decision-making — important choices are made together
Equal dignity — both opinions, feelings, and goals matter
Shared responsibility — both contribute to the relationship in meaningful ways
Freedom and trust — neither controls or dominates the other
Support for each other’s growth — both help each other become better
Real equality is partnership, not competition.
A simple way to put it:
“Equality in a relationship is not about who has more power, but about two people walking side by side with respect, trust, and shared purpose.”

SILENCE or SERVICE: The Death of Protest in Burkina Faso.
Protesters in Burkina Faso are being trained to Join the army instead of going to jail.
There have been reports that Burkina Faso’s military government is increasingly recruiting civilians and protesters into security or auxiliary forces instead of imprisoning some of them, but the situation is more complex than simply “protesters are being trained to join the army instead of going to jail.”
Under junta leader Ibrahim Traoré, the country has expanded military recruitment and civilian defense programs because of the worsening jihadist insurgency in the Sahel region. The government has recruited thousands of volunteers and reservists through groups such as the “Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland” (VDP), who receive short military training before deployment.
At the same time, human rights organizations and journalists have accused the junta of forcing critics, activists, journalists, and some detained individuals into military or auxiliary service. Recent reports say some government opponents were allegedly “conscripted” after criticizing the regime.
Supporters of the government argue this is part of a patriotic mobilization to defend the country against extremist violence. Large pro-government demonstrations have recently taken place in Ouagadougou after alleged coup attempts against Traoré.
Critics, however, say the policy is being used to suppress dissent and pressure opponents into supporting the military government. Human Rights Watch and other groups have raised concerns about abuses, forced recruitment, and shrinking political freedoms under the junta.
Masculinity isn’t about control, intimidation, or proving power over others.
It’s about discipline — self-control, responsibility, consistency, and the strength to act with purpose even when no one is watching.
