Korean Who Was Racially Mocked Got Invited to Return Back to Mexico by FIFA.

FIFA has officially invited South Korean YouTuber Yoon Su-jin, better known online as Inocat, back to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico after she was targeted by a racist gesture during a previous match in Guadalajara.

Yoon had shared videos from South Korea's World Cup match when a Mexican spectator appeared behind her and made an offensive slant-eye gesture. The clip quickly went viral, drawing widespread condemnation online. The individual involved later apologized and reportedly stepped down from his leadership role in a Mexican trade association.

In response, FIFA invited Yoon to attend the South Korea vs Mexico Group A match as an official guest. FIFA said the game would carry a message of "inclusion and respect" in observance of the International Day for Countering Hate Speech. Yoon accepted the invitation.

Despite the incident, Yoon wrote that she would continue to visit and share the beauty of Mexico, adding that "one person does not represent all of Mexico."

The gesture by FIFA has been widely viewed as a stand against racism and discrimination at the World Cup.

Zimbabwe Moves to Extend President Mnangagwa's rule

Zimbabwe has taken a major step toward extending the rule of President Emmerson Mnangagwa after the country's lower house of Parliament approved controversial constitutional amendments.

What happened?

Zimbabwe's National Assembly voted in favor of a bill that would postpone the next general elections from 2028 to 2030.

The proposal would also extend presidential terms from five years to seven years, effectively allowing Mnangagwa to remain in office until 2030.

The bill secured the required two-thirds majority, receiving 216 votes, well above the threshold needed for constitutional amendments.

It must still be approved by the Senate before becoming law, although the ruling party, ZANU-PF, also holds a strong majority there.

Why is it controversial?
Supporters argue that the changes would:

Allow long-term economic planning,

Reduce the frequency and cost of elections.

Critics, however, say the move represents a serious democratic setback, accusing the government of altering the constitution to keep Mnangagwa in power beyond his current mandate. Opposition groups and some former liberation war veterans have described it as a "power grab."
