2020-2021 school year 07/03/2020

Hello everyone,
I am starting to make plans for the fall, and as things with Covid keep going back and forth, I am wanting to get a feel for the fall a little earlier than usual. I have made the survey below to get an initial feel of how many students, how many families I can serve this year with my classes. Depending on interest, I may be limiting my classes to 1-2 days and working another job to make ends meet. I am looking at making those 2 days be Friday and possibly Tuesdays. So if you are wanting classes, please express interest ASAP so that if I do take on another job, I don't fill up too many of my class times.

I hope to be able to continue teaching at least a little bit this school year. I thank you all for your support through the years, and I understand that this virus has affected many of you financially, or you have at risk loved ones at home. So I completely understand whatever decisions you make, and am trying to prepare in advance.

God Bless,Marie Justin

2020-2021 school year Please fill this out as your earliest convenience! Thank you so much! Classes will start after Labor Day

Hey everyone, normally I only advertise what I'm doing with JPII, but this summer I am working part time at The Culture House in Olathe. Not familiar? It's a Christian arts center for our youth to come together and learn any and all art forms that bring glory to God! I'll be teaching the Drawing Bootcamp next week then 2 weeks of art explorers camps and then a Paint-o-rama camp in July!
Please consider checking them out. We offer a very wise variety of classes, including digital, animation, stop motion, ceramics and 3D art. Some of these are things I don't have the space or expertise to teach myself. So if your child has a lot for these, this is a great place to learn them! Follow the link to see dates and sign up! Sadly low-enrollment will result in the camps being cancelled. We have protocols in place to keep everyone safe during the pandemic as well. That info is also on the website. Share with your friends if know anyone in the Olathe/Overland Park area!

If you are one of the 7 families that have responded so far to the summer camp survey, I need you to message me.. For some reason a form is not telling me who submitted each response. For those of you who have not responded yet, I have included an extra question that asks for the family name and email.

Thanks for your patience!

Summer camps!! 05/08/2020

Hey everyone,

With things starting to open back up, I am making plans to hold summer camps again! My hope is to spend as much time outside this summer as possible, as I think everyone needs it!
There are options for camps, workshops and weekly classes!

Below is a survey that has the info I need from those of you interested in having art over the summer. Prices and various options for what type of art camps are included. Please read the questions carefully as some ask you to select all the apply, so I know what you are open to this summer.

I'll be in touch in 2 weeks about these, so please fill out as soon as you are able!

Some more great pieces!

Teaching art online has had its challenges but these kids have been awsome! Getting their assignments done and coming up with great ideas for projects. So glad to still "see" some of them every week!

Some amazing pieces from this semester! There was a much bigger focus on religious artwork this semester as well as drawing people. I'm so proud of my students for taking on the challenge well!

First entries for the student art contest are in! Don't forget to bring pieces to class this week or the 16rh&17th. (No classes next week)
