The KC Northland Elks Lodge has been a long time partner and supporter of our mission and work. Did you know they funded ALL of our baby baskets we delivered over the last three years? They are hosting a fundraising breakfast tomorrow morning and donating all proceeds to help us out again. Hope you will consider chowing down for Down syndrome :-)

Just As I Am - Trailer 07/13/2021

Please join us for this exciting Art Exhibit that is years in the making! The Just As I Am gallery will have it's grand debut at the Leedy-Volkous Art Center and be on display from Friday, August 6th- Saturday, October 30th. Encourage your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, therapists and education team to come see the exhibit.
Just As I Am* invites us to view the world through the lens of someone living with Down syndrome. This project’s aim is to create awareness and a better understanding of Down syndrome through raw, authentic stories, intimate portraiture and short film series, as to change the way we see those with Down syndrome.
These individuals are not deficient in any way; but are in fact “extra.” An extra chromosome gives those with Down syndrome an extraordinary ability to see the good, the joy, and the beauty in this world that the rest of us can’t see. This project challenges us to celebrate those with Down syndrome just as they are and to recognize the gifts and talents these individuals bring to the world.
