Nature is one of the best classrooms, and this month our preschoolers will be exploring, creating, and learning through hands-on experiences outdoors.

We’ll be collecting natural treasures like leaves, sticks, flowers, rocks, and pinecones to create beautiful art projects and crafts.

Children will experiment with nature painting using items they find outside as paintbrushes, stamps, and creative tools.

They’ll discover new ways to build, design, and imagine by creating toys, structures, and play experiences from natural materials.

Through sensory play, observation, problem-solving, and creative expression, children will strengthen important developmental skills while building a deeper appreciation for nature.

Each year, our students take part in growing our school garden and they do it all themselves!

From picking out seeds and planting them to watching them grow and harvesting when they’re ready, our kids are involved every step of the way. 💚

There’s something special about learning patience, responsibility, and where our food comes from, all while getting their hands a little dirty! 🌼🌿

Nursery Rhymes & Sesame Street Week is here! 🌈📚🍪🌱

This week our classrooms will be diving into playful learning through hands-on activities inspired by favorite nursery rhymes and beloved Sesame Street friends! From rescuing Sesame Street characters, feeding Cookie Monster, and exploring sensory bins, to rebuilding Humpty Dumpty and climbing Jack’s Beanstalk, our students will be learning through movement, exploration, problem-solving, creativity, and social interaction every step of the way. 💛

These activities help encourage communication, turn-taking, fine motor development, matching, sequencing, letter recognition, sensory exploration, peer engagement, and flexible thinking in fun and meaningful ways. Whether students are scooping in sensory bins, completing puzzles with friends, sorting colors, or participating in interactive games, they are building important developmental skills through play-based experiences designed to keep learning exciting and engaging.

We can’t wait for a week full of imagination, laughter, teamwork, and lots of learning alongside our favorite stories and characters! ✨
