Way to go, Jackson Lyons! 🎯👏

We’re proud of your hard work, focus, and dedication. Keep representing the Pirates with excellence!

We would like to recognize an outstanding achievement by one of our 8th grade athletes on the Belton Pirates Shooting Sports Team.

8th grader Jackson Lyons has made team history!

Jackson first broke the record as the youngest athlete on the team to hit a perfect 25 straight. Then, during practice, he went even further—becoming not only the youngest, but also the fastest athlete in team history to hit a perfect 50 straight targets.

Jackson didn’t stop there. He continued shooting and hit an incredible 78 targets in a row before missing, finishing the evening with an impressive 98 out of 100 targets.

Congratulations, Jackson, on an incredible performance and for setting a new standard for the team!

Yesterday, our Character Council students at BMS took time to show their appreciation for a group that keeps our school running every day — our amazing bus drivers! 🚌

Students held up thank-you signs and greeted drivers with smiles as they arrived, and presented each driver with a cold drink as a small token of gratitude.

We are so thankful for the care, patience, and dedication our bus drivers show to our students each and every day. Thank you for all that you do! 👏

8th graders Harmony Tiedeman and Kaylee Allcorn, under the direction of their teacher Heather Bratcher, attended the FCCLA Missouri State Leadership Conference early last week.

They earned a Top 5 placement in National Programs in Action Level 1 for their Heart Project — an incredible accomplishment that reflects their hard work, creativity, and dedication! ❤️

In addition, the Belton FCCLA chapter was recognized for being the largest chapter in the state, which is an amazing honor for our school community.

BMS Cheerleading Tryout Information!

This past Saturday, BMS Festival Singers and Connection Choir traveled to Liberty High School to participate in the KC Metro Middle School Choir Festival.

At this event, choirs perform for a panel of judges, receive a rating, and participate in a workshop with a clinician. Ratings range from 1–5, with 1 being the highest and 5 being the lowest. Each choir receives two ratings — one from each judge.

🎶 Connection Choir received two 2 ratings, also known as an “Outstanding” rating! This is so exciting and an incredible accomplishment for a 7th grade choir. We are so proud of their performance — and it gives us great motivation as we continue growing and improving for next year!

🌟 Festival Singers received two 1 ratings — an “Exemplary” rating! This is the highest score a choir can earn. Earning the top rating alongside so many incredibly talented groups makes this achievement even more special.

We are so proud of all of our singers for their hard work, dedication, and beautiful representation of our program. 💙🎵

The Belton Middle School Character Council spent a couple of hours at Harvesters on Wednesday, December 3rd, serving our community through hands-on volunteer work. Their task for the day was bagging potatoes, and together they successfully packed an incredible 2,500+ pounds!

Our students represented BMS with hard work, teamwork, and great attitudes. We’re so proud of the way they gave their time and energy to help others!
