🚧 We saw the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department- KCKFD's post about the Turner Diagonal being fully open today, but we had to see it for ourselves. We are thrilled to report that IT'S TRUE!! Best. Day. Ever.

Thank you to all of our families, especially the ones that live around Turner Sixth Grade Academy, for your patience as our transportation staff navigated the road closures and the train schedule during this process. We are so glad the construction is done!

What an amazing last day filled with fun, laughter, and friendship! ☀️💛 What an incredible year it has been — we will miss all of our students so much! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish in middle school. Wishing everyone a fun, safe, and unforgettable summer! 📚✨

Today was our Annual Kickball Tournament and fun was had by all!
A huge congratulations to our Kickball Champions — Mrs. Armstrong’s class! 🏆👏
We also want to recognize Ms. Schreiner’s class for showing incredible teamwork, positivity, and encouragement throughout the day as they earned our Sportsmanship Award 💙✨
We are so proud of all of our participants for their effort, teamwork, and school spirit! What an amazing day! 🎉🙌

💛🖤 Today we are celebrating our 20 Year Service Award recipients! We are grateful for these staff members who have chosen to spend much of their career in service to our Turner schools, students, and community.

Next is Tammy Wake, who is the head secretary at Turner Sixth Grade Academy.

When asked what she has most loved about the last twenty years in the district, she said her connection to the community and staff.

Kickball Tournament Day is Tomorrow!

Our annual kickball tournament is happening tomorrow, May 20th! Students should come dressed for the weather and ready for a fun day outside. ☀️🌦️

✔️ Wear tennis shoes that can get muddy
✔️ Bring sunscreen
✔️ Bring a hat in case the sun comes out

We can’t wait for a great day of fun and friendly competition! 🐾
