π₯ HUSTLE RUSSELL AWARD: MAX STILL π₯
π Hustle Russell Award β Week 1, 2026 Season π
We are proud to announce the first Hustle Russell Award winner of the 2026 season: Senior Offensive Lineman Max Still!
For the past six seasons, this award has been presented by the SPX Football coaching staff in honor of Brandon Russell ('00), a Warrior who embodied relentless effort, toughness, sacrifice, and a true "We Over Me" mentality. Brandon passed away too soon in 2017 doing what he loved, running the Rock the Parkway 1/2 marathon and passing as his finished the race. The Hustle Russell Award recognizes the hardworking, selfless Warrior whose impact goes far beyond statistics.
This week, that Warrior is Max Still.
Max's journey is what Warrior football is all about.
For four years, Max has quietly gone to work. He transformed his body, dedicated himself to the weight room, improved every offseason, and never stopped believing his opportunity would come. He never complained. Never made excuses. Never worried about recognition.
He just kept grinding.
Then the moment came.
In the Warriors' historic victory over Rockhurst, Max was called upon when the team needed him most. He stepped into a bigger role and delivered, helping power one of the biggest wins in program history. While others might have become frustrated waiting for their opportunity, Max stayed ready, trusted the process, and continued putting the team first.
That's toughness.
That's commitment.
That's Warrior Football.
Max represents everything Brandon Russell stood for: hard work, humility, perseverance, and selfless dedication to his teammates. He is proof that when preparation meets opportunity, great things happen.
ππ Congratulations, Max Still, on earning the first Hustle Russell Award of the 2026 season! Your coaches, teammates, and Warrior family are incredibly proud of you.
Next up, the Warriors head to Lee's Summit North to battle St. Michael the Archangel for the Crystal Cup.
βοΈ One Team. One Standard. One Mission.
WE OVER ME.
