is an unconventional mentoring safe space, focusing on the talent of the students while embracing & supporting their creative imaginations. The students inspire the mentors as much as the mentors inspire the students….a team of inspiration! The Creative Writing program's will give students the opportunity to have creative writing mentorship from writers within their community. These volunteer writers will allow the children's imaginations to soar and enrich their creative abilities so they can grow to appreciate the art of writing. The long-term plan is to have the program guide them through grade school up to possibly college entrance – taking with them not only creative writing skills, but a mentor and friend along their journey. The program will include students in grades 3–8 who have a passion for creative writing, poetry, play writing, or songwriting. This program is at no cost to the children
