As we wrap up another incredible Midwest Leather Kink Alliance weekend, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank the many people who made MWLKA 2026 so special.

To slave Ashe, Malka, and Tiger ONYX — thank you for stepping forward, putting yourselves out there, and being part of this year’s contest. You are all winners, and each of you did an absolutely amazing job. We are proud of you and grateful for everything you brought to the weekend.

A huge thank you to Master Lucian, Celina, and Daddy Shay for your year of service and for representing the Midwest Region. Your dedication, time, energy, and commitment have meant so much to our community. Thank you for carrying the titles with pride and for all you have done throughout the year.

The Space: Enjoy the sunshine on Sidekick's excellent neighborhood patio. It is the perfect low-pressure space to grab a drink, connect with fellow attendees before heading home, and personally congratulate our newly chosen titleholders, contestants, and volunteers.

🍻✨ EVENT HIGHLIGHT: THE VICTORY SOCIAL IS TOMORROW!

The main contest may wrap up tonight, but the celebration isn't over yet! Tomorrow, Sunday, August 9, we are keeping the momentum going with the official MWLKA Victory Social hosted at Sidekicks Saloon (3707 Main St)!

When: Sunday afternoon, August 9.
Where: Sidekicks Saloon—one of our favorite welcoming, neighborhood country-western gay bars featuring a fantastic relaxed outdoor patio.
What: The perfect opportunity to wind down, chat with old and new friends, snap photos, and celebrate our newly sashed regional titleholders, contestants, and hard-working staff.

(Please note: While Sidekick Saloon is an excellent, lifestyle-friendly local partner, they are cash-only with an ATM onsite.)

Rest up after tonight's grand finale, and make plans to join us tomorrow afternoon to close out an incredible weekend in style!

👑🔥 SATURDAY AT MWLKA: ADVANCED CLASSES & THE GRAND FINALE!

This is the pinnacle of the weekend! We have another incredible lineup of daytime workshops and specialty socials, leading straight into the most anticipated night of the entire conference.

Here is your Saturday roadmap:
- Daytime Education: Our final tracks of advanced workshops and panels continue throughout the morning and afternoon.
- Mid-Day Hot Dog Social: The grill is hot for day two! Swing by the kitchen area from noon to 2:00 p.m. for lunch and keep supporting our titleholder travel fund.
- Fundraiser Raffle Deadline: Make sure to drop off your new school supply donations or buy extra tickets at Registration. The Back 2 School Fundraiser benefiting Our Spot KC closes today!
- Silent Auction Travel Baskets: Browse the travel baskets and log your bids. Bidding closes strictly at 7:00 p.m. tonight, and winners will be notified via text.
- The Main Contest & Sashing: Tonight is the night! Join us on the main stage to witness the formal contestant speeches, final presentations, and our community prize drawings. The evening concludes with our official step-down and sashing ceremonies, where we will crown our new Midwest Master/slave and Midwest Person of Leather!

The Schedule is Officially Live! 🗓️✨
The wait is over! The official weekend education schedule has been released. We have put together an incredible lineup of classes, workshops, and socials designed to empower, educate, and connect our community.

Weekend Highlights At-A-Glance:
- Thursday Night: Settle in with our venue orientation class "So this is your first Leather conference" presented by Sir Merrell at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by the official Judges and Contestants introduction and number draw at 7:00 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday Day: Dive deep into our comprehensive education tracks running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., catch the live public contestant interviews on Friday morning, or drop by the Socials to get to know others in the community.
- Friday & Saturday Night: Join us for the main stage contest portions, featuring live onstage pop questions, formal speeches, stellar community entertainment, a keynote address by slav Jody, and the official title sashing ceremonies. And the infamous MWLKA warm cookies will make an appearance!
- Sunday: Our annual Victory Celebration at Side Kicks Saloon, followed by a Pet Mosh, that is open to all! Come celebrate the 2026 title holders and their accomplishments.
