People think it is easy to be a flower and bloom but in reality it takes an immense amount of self-love and compassion πΌ
πΈ A flower doesnβt worry about the timing of when it will bloom
πΈ A flower isnβt critical of how it grows or feels guilty when it doesnβt.
πΈ And most importantly, self-love isnβt an item on a flowers to-do list. It just loves the world and itself effortlessly.
And that is why I created the BLOOM 5-Day Challenge to breath new life into your self-love experience. πΏ
For so many people, self-care has become a buzzword. Something trendy on our to-do list that checks off the box that we are doing a βgoodβ thing like brushing our teeth.
However, this has also lead to a disconnect. Our minds are doing the task but our hearts are not in it! And how can we be effectively loving ourselves if our hearts are not in it! π€π«

Set the tone for 2022 by starting it off right with some self-care. β¨

There are three types of self-care:

1. Doing things Future You will be super happy about
β β β β β β β β β
Such as investing in your 401k, scheduling that dentist appointment, deep cleaning your space, or creating a 5-year game plan.
β β β β β β β β β
2. Holding space to do activities that calms and restores your central nervous system
β β β β β β β β β
Such as meditating, bubble baths, talking walks outside, restorative yoga, breathwork, etc.
β β β β β β β β β
3. Doing things that fires up your soul and sparks your creative flow
β β β β β β β β β
creating art, dancing, spending time with friends, expressing yourself, singing with the windows down, anything that makes your soul scream "Heck Yes! More Please!"

Typically though most people avoid #1, only focus on #2, and completely ignore or downplay the importance of #3.

In reality though, you need a balance of all three types of self-care to really support your full authentic self.

This past week, my fiancΓ© and I packed up our apartment, put our fur babies in the car, and started our trek across four states to make Charlotte, NC, our new home.

While I typically hate any idea of moving, and there were many times the idea of going to a city I never been to was daunting, IvΓ‘n and I were determined to make this the most fun adventure possible. We focused on the excitement of experiencing something new and looked at every challenge as an opportunity for something better than we expected. β¨

Naturally, the universe delivered and this trip has been transformative to say the least. Here are just a few of the amazing lessons we learned along the wayβ¦

I know I used to struggle with all three of these before. I would constantly let my fear take charge and drive the show. It clouded my vision and kept me in a state of constant stress and chasing my tail. π«

β¨ Now I understand my behavior and energy style β¨ so I know exactly what I want to spend my time on. This insight has given me crystal clear focus all while empowering me to say βnoβ to the things that do not support my peace.

This doesnβt mean itβs stress-free and rainbows all the time. Shifting my fear-driven thoughts to a more expansive mindset is something I work on every day (the brain is more of a muscle than an organ π§ πͺπ½).

However, all that hard work has sparked a major shift in my life that has me feeling blessed and fulfilled. π

1. Inspiring - you should be leaving most sessions motivated and ready to take on the world π β β β β β β β β β

2. A great listener - Believe it or not, the client really should be the one doing most of the talking during a session. The coach's role is to listen, make observations, and act as a sounding board. Believe it or not, we don't have all the answers. You do! We just help you discover them :) πβ β β β β β β β β

3. Full of tough love - Growth isn't all rainbows and sunshine. It takes real work and an honest look at yourself. You want a coach who is going to be there to keep you focused and moving forward, not someone who is going to "hold you hand" and sugar coat everything. πͺπ½πβ β β β β β β β β

Either way, having a coach in your corner is a powerful investment in yourself and a game changer to your development. Stop playing small, the world needs you to step fully into your power! π₯
