We're excited to welcome our students back to school! 🧡The first day of school is Tuesday, August 25th. Breakfast starts at 7:25 am, and school starts at 7:40 am. Dismissal begins at 2:50 pm. Students can bring their school supplies throughout the first week of school. The supplies will go to their first class of the day- Advisory. We're looking forward to a great year ahead!

Registration Night for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders is this Wednesday, August 12th from noon- 6 pm. Students will receive their schedule, tour the building, and get important information for the upcoming school year. Just a reminder, students must be fully enrolled in order to receive their schedule. If you're unable to attend Registration Night on August 12th, please come to the office any day after the 12th to receive your student's schedule.

Friendly reminder for our returning ‘Purch Pirates!

🧡🖤 Did you receive this text yesterday? If so, your student’s re-enrollment has not yet been started.

Please log in to the Parent Portal (platte.powerschool.com/public/) and complete your student’s re-enrollment as soon as possible.

Our school administrative assistants return on Monday, and we’d love to have as many re-enrollments submitted before then so they can focus on preparing for a successful start to the school year instead of tracking down important missing paperwork.

We’ve had a wonderful week full of festivities!! 7th grade had their Genius Hour presentations and celebration, 8th grade had their pancake breakfast and zoo field trip. Thank you to our wonderful Platte Purchase PTSA for giving our 8th graders a memorable last full day! We also had our talent show and luau for all the students to enjoy! We hope you all have a wonderful summer!

🧡🖤 EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATORS: Congrats to Dakota Brizendine and Josh Jurgens, educators at Platte Purchase Middle School, recognized at tonight's Board meeting for their dedication to students and staff. Dakota was celebrated for fostering a culture of innovation and excellence by transforming math instruction through collaborative, student-centered learning; and Josh was recognized for creating a safe, welcoming environment where students feel supported and empowered to be themselves. Help us congratulate these Pirates!

We had a wonderful time welcoming our upcoming 6th graders at Step Up Day! Dr. Hoffecker and Mr. Brown welcomed students with an informational session about Platte Purchase. Students had the opportunity to tour the school and enjoy performances by our Jazz Band and Honor Choir. We are so excited for the 2026-2027 school year and can’t wait to see all of our new students this fall. Welcome, upcoming 6th graders!

What a great week! A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTSA and StuCo for a wonderful Staff Appreciation Week! We also appreciate all the parents, guardians, and friends who supported our gift card drawing. Your generosity and support mean so much to us! Special shout out to Third Street Social, in Parkville and for their donations. We really appreciate it! Thank you to Tucker Time Coffee and for serving our wonderful staff! We're so grateful for all of you! Thanks for helping us celebrate our teachers and staff!

Big shout out to miss Brinley Courter for representing Platte Purchase at our first annual Real World Learning Showcase this past week! Brinley got to speak in front of members of the community and people throughout the district to share about her wonderful experience at JA BizTown. We are so lucky to have her at Platte Purchase!
