Congratulations and thank you to our amazing North Kansas City Schools Transportation!
After earning 1st Place for School Spirit in the Snake Saturday Parade, the Transportation team generously donated their prize money to the NKC Schools Education Foundation to support students across the district.
We are proud to partner with Transportation on creative, student-centered grants and initiatives, including the Book Bus, which brings books, bus safety practice, and meaningful family connections directly to schools and neighborhoods across North Kansas City Schools.
We are also grateful for their thoughtful work to support students receiving special education services by providing tools, resources, and care on the bus, helping each student’s day with us start and end well.
Thank you, Transportation, for showing school spirit in every sense of the word.

Because of generous donors and support from the NKC Schools Education Foundation, 2,116 students across North Kansas City Schools ended the school year with meal debt cleared.
Together, $40,000 in meal debt relief helped support students and families in a meaningful, immediate way.
This effort cleared balances for every graduating senior with meal debt, all students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, and 500 additional students from elementary through high school across the district.
For families, this kind of support can ease stress. For students, it removes one more obstacle so they can focus on learning, growing, and moving forward.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Together, we are creating bright futures across NKC Schools.

Behind every bright future is someone who believes in what’s possible.
Today, we’re recognizing our Bright Futures Friends, individual donors whose personal generosity helps the NKC Schools Education Foundation support students, staff, and schools across our district.
Their gifts help us respond to real needs, open doors to meaningful opportunities, and continue building a stronger school community for every student.
Thank you to our Bright Futures Friends for believing in this work and investing in NKC Schools.
