I was trying to figure out if scared was too strong of a word. But actually is not.

I was scared.

I was scared of how to respond to someone who thought socialists (even democratic socialists) were monsters--at 8:00 at night while running into the store to get chips because my shirt has Bernie Sanders on it and I live in a Red State.
