Tired of being stuck in the same rut of difficulties?
Many of us want change, but we often focus on changing what we do before changing how we see.
The challenge is that destructive cycles are rarely broken by trying harder. They are broken by discerning differently.
Sustainable transformation requires the courage to see, understand, and acknowledge what is really happening beneath the surface—our patterns, assumptions, reactions, and ways of coping.
When we discern differently, we must enter the process of becoming different - transformation.
This is a messy process that many try to skip because it is painful, scary, and difficult.
BUT it is also necessary.
And when we become different, we naturally begin to live differently—thinking, speaking, acting, and leading and living from a healthier place.
The path to lasting change is not simply:
Do differently → Live differently
It is:
Discern differently → Become different → Live differently
If you are ready to muster the courage to see, become, and do differently, here are some questions you can ask yourself:
What might I need to see differently to move beyond the cycle I want changed?
Such as:
- What pattern keeps repeating in my life, leadership, or relationships?
-What am I currently blaming on circumstances that may require a deeper look within myself?
--What reality have I been avoiding, minimizing, or explaining away?
-What assumptions am I making that might not be fully true?
-How might my own thinking, reactions, or habits be contributing to the cycle?
-If I were to see this situation differently, what new possibilities might emerge?
-Who might I become if I responded with greater clarity, courage, and wisdom?
