A.L. Brown Class of 1996… We’re Officially Underway! 💚💛

Last year we announced that we were bringing our class back together. This year… it’s time to make it happen.

For everyone who remembers the kid with the gap… 😁 I’ve grown up, and I’m honored to help lead the effort to bring our amazing Class of 1996 together for our 30-Year Reunion during Homecoming Weekend – October 2026!

This reunion isn’t about one person. It’s about our class. I’m simply helping keep the train moving with the support of many classmates who have already stepped up behind the scenes. Together, we’re building something special that everyone can be proud of.

We’ve already begun planning, and over the coming months you’ll see updates about:

Now we need YOUR help!

We’re looking for volunteers to serve on three important committees:

💰 Donation & Fundraising Committee
Help us raise funds to offset reunion expenses, T-shirts, decorations, giveaways, and other activities. Every dollar helps make this reunion bigger and better.

👕 T-Shirt & Merchandise Committee
Help design our official 30-Year Reunion shirt and other reunion merchandise. If you’re creative or have ideas, we’d love your input.

📱 Outreach & Classmate Connection Committee
Help us locate classmates, invite everyone back, share updates, and make sure nobody gets left behind.

Whether you can volunteer, donate, share ideas, or simply spread the word, we’d love to have you involved.

Let’s make this a reunion that people will be talking about for years to come.

Class of 1996 Reunion Update!

Thanks to everyone who joined our June 27 Town Hall!

Quick Highlights:

* Friday: Tailgate 3:00–6:30 PM, Game 7:00 PM
* Reserved seating, reunion shirts & gift bags
* Halftime: Presentation of our $1,996 pledge to the school, followed by a class photo
* After the game: Downtown Kannapolis for bowling & karaoke
* Saturday & Sunday events are still being finalized.

Committee Volunteers: We’ll be contacting everyone who signed up, especially Outreach, T-Shirt Design and Party Setup/Decorations, using your preferred contact method (text or email).

🚨 Help Us Out! Please tag classmates who haven’t completed the reunion survey. Even if you can’t attend, please fill it out so we can get an accurate headcount and plan the best reunion possible.

Let’s make our 30-year reunion one to remember!

Attention Class of ’96!

The 12:00 PM Town Hall meeting has been canceled.

Instead, we’ll all meet during the 6:00 PM Host Zoom Meeting this evening.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing everyone at 6:00 PM! Please help spread the word to any classmates who may have planned to join the noon meeting.

A.L. Brown Class of 1996 Reunion Update

Our first planning meeting went great! We've started building the foundation for an amazing reunion weekend.

Current plans include:

Friday: Tailgate, Homecoming game & after gathering
Saturday: Reunion party
Sunday: Brunch and/or church together

Our next planning meeting is July 27 (12pm and 6pm), where we'll organize committees for T-shirts, decorations, memorials, outreach, and more.

So far, 43 classmates have completed the survey, already planning to attend. We know many classmates are still missing, so please help spread the word!

A.L. Brown Class of 1996 Reunion Town Hall Update

Thank you to everyone who joined our Town Hall Meeting today at 12:00 PM. The meeting went well, and we were able to discuss several important reunion updates and plans for our upcoming reunion weekend.

We do apologize to those who experienced issues with the Zoom link and were unable to join. We appreciate your patience as we work through the technical difficulties.

We will be holding another Town Hall Meeting today at 6:00 PM.
