Spring has finally arrived and we've got a new small greenhouse set up in the garden! The winter was long and harsh, over 13' of snow again...and I still haven't taken down my winter protective fencing for my woody plants. Maybe soon I'll accept that winter is finally over 🫠

Looking forward to a year focused on developing our gardens and rooting here, while I create my own permaculture teaching curriculum.

This year has presented two separate opportunities for me to get deeply involved with professional collaborations with fiercely talented and experienced colleagues in the fields of ecological design and permaculture education. I'm following this beautiful path and excited to see where it leads.

Restocks may take longer than expected and you won't see me at any markets this year, but I'm still here - both in the garden and in community.

I'm excited to announce that I will be attending an Advanced Permaculture Teacher Training this winter taught by of Cascadia Permaculture

Through this program I will be building on years of experience offering workshops and talks on ecological design topics- further developing our Permaculture curriculum offerings and learning opportunities that will be held on our farm.

This is an exciting time as we design and develop our new farm's capacity for becoming a Permaculture education resource in Northwestern Michigan.

As we grow, we will be holding trainings and workshops collaborating with all of the talented people that I've met through working in the field over the last 15 years!

if you hold a PDC, practical field experience, and are interested in exploring your own pedagogy and developing useful tools and facilitating, trainings, and workshops - I believe they're still looking for a few participants! This is an intimate, remote learning class that takes place on Saturdays through the quiet, meditative winter months. It's an intense course with lots of work, but like the PDC journey- it has the capacity to be life-changing. Reach out if you'd like to learn more.
