Taking advantage of the beautiful Michigan summer weather, conducting our intern didactic session outside on the med school patio. Today our interns are participating in orientation for our unique physician field response program that composes our longitudinal EMS curriculum.

Faculty member Dr. Maureen Ford delivered the morning plenary and a breakout session at the Supporting Recovery for Incarcerated Persons conference in Springfield, Illinois today. Like emergency departments, jails are critical touch points for prescribing medications for opioid use disorder, and she talked about strategies for doing that with jail administrators, officers, and health care workers from jails throughout the state.
