Love walking past these boards during the week and seeing the prayers that have been added. Some are specific, some are simple, and some never get written down at all.

This week we’re praying for healing, for our families, for our children, for expectant moms and babies, and for peace in our homes. And we’re praying for all of those things people are carrying quietly that no one else knows about.

Our verse this week reminds us that we don’t have to have everything figured out. We can bring it to God and trust Him with it.

If there is something on your heart this week, let us pray with you. You can share your request below, send it to us privately, or simply say, “I have an unspoken prayer.”

We’ll know what you mean. And more importantly, God already knows. 🤍

🍁 October is when the magic of a school year really starts to show.
The shy little one starts raising their hand. The child who needed extra encouragement begins trying on their own. Friendships grow, routines settle, and teachers begin to see the wonderful little personalities behind each student. 🧡

Fearfully and wonderfully made. -Psalm 139:14

Every child is wonderfully unique, and getting to know them is one of our favorite parts of teaching.

Lord, hear our prayers. 🤍

For the intentions written here, for the ones too personal to share, and for those carried quietly in our hearts—we lift them all to You.

🙏🏼For healing.
🙏🏼For comfort.
🙏🏼For safe deliveries and healthy babies.
🙏🏼For our children and families.
🙏🏼For the rain we needed
🙏🏼And for every prayer known only to You.

May those who are hurting feel Your presence, those who are waiting find peace, and those who are afraid be reminded that they are never alone.

Sometimes loving our kids means helping them.

And sometimes… it means waiting just a few more seconds before we do. ❤️

The zipper is stuck. The shoe is on the wrong foot. The workbook question is hard. We know we could step in and fix it in about three seconds but what happens when we give them a little time to figure it out?

That’s where some pretty important learning happens.

They learn to stop and think. To try again. To ask for help when they really need it. And eventually, they get to experience that wonderful little moment of, “I did it myself!”

At Cornerstone, we’re teaching academics, of course but we’re also helping children learn how to become confident, capable students who don’t give up simply because something feels hard.

The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is growth. 🌱

Our newest blog is a little reminder for all of us who sometimes have a hard time not jumping in to help. 😉

Years from now, our children probably won’t remember the worksheet they finished on a Tuesday morning or what was written on the classroom bulletin board.

But they may remember the teacher who noticed when they were having a hard day.

The teacher who believed they could do something before they believed it themselves.

The classroom where mistakes were okay, kindness mattered, and they knew they belonged.

Academics matter deeply to us at CCA but so does the person standing in front of the classroom. Because some of the most important lessons our children learn aren’t written into a lesson plan at all. 💙💚

There’s a lot of learning happening in these little moments. ❤️

Sometimes it looks like sitting together working on words, sometimes it’s a small group gathered around the table, and sometimes it’s music, movement, and a whole lot of little voices joining in.

We love watching our students learn how to listen, participate, share their thoughts, work alongside their friends, and grow more confident in what they know. It’s pretty amazing we have the opportunity to combine all this learning in one environment!

Learning, growing, and doing it together. That’s a pretty good school day. 🥰 HUGE shoutout to our teachers who make this happen daily 💚💙

Sometimes getting our kids to tell us about their day feels like pulling teeth. But maybe it isn’t that they have nothing to say… maybe we just need to think a little differently about how we start the conversation.

The past couple of weeks have been busy for our friends as everyone gets back into the swing of school! 🍎📚

There has been so much happening in our classrooms, learning new things, settling into routines, building friendships, creating, problem-solving, and figuring things out together. We’ve also been making time to grow in our faith, practice kindness, and learn what it means to be a good friend to the people around us. ❤️

Some of the best learning happens in the little moment while we are sitting together for a lesson, working through something that feels tricky, building something from an idea, helping a friend, or discovering, “Hey, I can do this!”

We’re off to a wonderful start, and we can’t wait to see how much these little minds and hearts grow this year. ✏️🧩🙏

Some children just need a little more time. 💙

More time to find the words, more time to understand the directions, more time to feel confident enough to try.

And sometimes, they don’t need us to lower the expectation, they just need us to find a different way to help them get there.

We believe there is something incredibly special about the moment a child goes from “I can’t do it” to “Look! I did it by myself!”

Those moments matter, including everything that happens before them.

☀️ That’s a wrap on VBS! 💙💚

Today was our last day of VBS, and what a summer it has been! From Bible lessons and hands on activities to laughter, friendships, and plenty of fun, we have loved spending the summer helping our children learn more about Jesus and His love for them.

Watching their little hearts grow in faith has been one of the sweetest parts of our summer. 🌿

Thank you to our wonderful teachers and families for making this summer so special. We are incredibly grateful for each child who spent their summer learning, laughing, and growing with us!

We learned. We grew. We shared God’s love. ✝️
