This past Saturday, we welcomed the incredible Marcia Milgrom Dodge for an inspiring, unforgettable morning at The Goldner Conservatory.
Currently directing Orphans on our MainStage, Marcia shared exactly what directing a revival means, including her Tony Award-nominated Revival of Ragtime. Marcia explored her approach to storytelling, what examining every detail really means, and treating each work as a mystery waiting to be solved. In addition, she led participants through scenes from Orphans, uncovering the deeper meaning behind the text and honing in on the power of subtext.

We are so grateful for Marcia generously opening the door to her artistic process, giving attendees a rare behind-the-scenes look at how directors bring stories to life, and willingness to share her craft with our students and community.
