Teaching is truly her passion, and she loves finding creative, supportive ways to help every child grow and feel confident in their learning. Originally from Miami, she has called Vero Beach home for the past 7️⃣ years, where she continues to enjoy building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues. She is a certified teacher with a master’s degree and a reading endorsement. Her passion is early literacy and she loves helping students gain confidence in their abilities and grow their interest in reading.

At Vero Reading Garden, we don’t just serve the Reader. We serve the Whole Child. 📚 Our job is to foster confidence, so that our students trust us enough to make mistakes and be vulnerable during the learning process. This sweet boy was unsure as he began working with me. We set a timer for 5️⃣ minutes. His mom and younger brother came into the classroom, sat in the back, and when the timer went off, they left. As time went on, we eventually didn’t need the timer, and he was entering the classroom all on his own! 🥳 NOW…he is so confident that he INSISTS that his mom stay in the car and he walks HIMSELF down the sidewalk and into the classroom. 🤩 I could not be more proud of him!! Yesterday, as he walked up to the door, I told him how much I loved his shirt. His response was, “Of course! It’s Spooky Season.” 🤪 🎃 👻 😊

With over 31 years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher and currently serving as an ESE Support Facilitator in St. Lucie County, Eric brings a deep commitment to student empowerment and inclusive education. He is passionate about helping students in all grade levels take charge of their learning. This includes identifying and celebrating their strengths and progress, setting personal goals, and advocating for themselves. Eric understands the importance of building strong, meaningful connections with students and their families, and he is excited to be part of the Vero Reading Garden community where growth, collaboration, and curiosity flourish.
