Early learning, for us, required using what was around our daily life. My child loved toy animals, so that’s what we learned with!

We didn’t fuss, we had fun.

If you’re feeling tired of all the check boxes and online meetings, maybe it’s time to play a little.

FIELD TRIPS ENCOURAGE STRUGGLING READERS
Ever feel completely lost in what to do with your struggling reader? Yes? Well I have too!
I have felt, on many occasions, that I was failing my child. Fast forward years’ worth of tears and frustration to this picture.
💡
My slow-growing reader blossomed before my eyes! I cried happy tears this time. His reading and comprehension shot up like a rocket!
💡
My friends, sometimes the most talked about strategies don't even work. The solution for me was perseverance. I was patient even though I totally felt like there was something wrong with me, and possibly with my son. BUT nothing was ever wrong! It was just not his season to grow in that area.

Be encouraged. Just because the timing is not according to what you think, it might very well be you're off a season or two. Keep going.

SPANISH WORKBOOK
Look at these Early Spanish workbooks I got from ! Take them on a field trip, and you are set!

I will say that as a Spanish speaker the pronunciation guide is not how I would pronounce the word, but it's passable.
I encourage you not to worry about the grade level. If it can help for only $1...go for it!

LEARNING CONJUNCTION WORDS ON A FIELD TRIP
So many families have wondered how I teach on our field trips. The answer is quite simple! Make it an adventure, and the possibilities are endless.
📍
If you want to learn conjunction words, here is an example:
• Let’s say you are going to the zoo.
• Now, let’s pick a group of conjunctions. (I am picking comparison conjunctions.)
• Give your child examples. “I like elephants as much as cheetahs.”
• Then have them give you examples as you explore the zoo.
• To further enhance your learning take some printables with you!
