I found these tucked away…and immediately went back to that space. 🥹☀️🌊🩷
Last year, Deisy and I gathered with mujeres from Salinas, Watsonville, and surrounding communities for Caminando y Sanando.

At the end of our time together, each woman was invited to write an intention for herself.
Something she wanted to welcome.
Something she was ready to choose.
Something she wanted to carry forward into the life she was creating.
And here they were—a year later.
Card after card.
Woman after woman.
Each one representing a moment when someone stopped long enough to ask herself:
What do I want for me?
Finding them made me wonder where these mujeres are today.
Which intentions became decisions?
Which became boundaries?
Which became conversations?
Which became beginnings?
Which are still asking to be honored?
And maybe that is the beautiful thing about intention.
Writing it down does not mean everything changes overnight.
Sometimes it simply marks the moment we become willing to acknowledge what we desire.
To the mujeres who were in that room with us: I hope you know that I am still rooting for the woman who wrote that card. 💗
And to the mujer reading this today:
If you had a blank card in front of you right now, what would you give yourself permission to call into your life?
Write it below—or keep it quietly between you and yourself.
But name it.
There is power in allowing yourself to want something.
