Dear M**S Families,
Fall is here, and our Vikings are off to a strong start! I want to begin with a big thank you. Our daily attendance is the best we have seen in a long time, and that success belongs to you and your children. Every day in class counts, so please keep it up. If your family is ever facing a barrier to getting your child to school, reach out to us so we can help.
I also have an important request. Please complete a Meal Benefit Application if you believe your family qualifies. An approved application gives your family free access to the HCPS laptop protection plan, and it increases the Community Schools funding that supports programs and resources for every M**S student. All applications are confidential.
There is a lot to look forward to this season. We are teaming up with our friends at MAES for Fall Fest, featuring trunk-or-treat and food trucks (Love Crust Pizza!!), and we hope to see your family there in costume! We are also launching our Family Support Series, a chance for families to gain practical tools and connect with our staff. Please register early for the first event, since space is limited.
Finally, a reminder that M**S has a School-Based Health Center right inside our building, so students can get care during the school day without long absences from class. By filling out the quick form below, your student will gain access to a variety of health care resources right here at M**S through our nurse practitioner.
You will find details on each of these highlights in the posts below. Thank you for your continued partnership.
With Viking Pride,
Jason Redmond
Principal, Magnolia Middle School
