JHS Athletic Boosters

JHS Athletic Boosters The boosters club supports all JHS teams and athletes. The JABC is made up of volunteers to help support the JHS athletes.

Money is raised through fundraisers and concessions to provide JHS teams with equipment, uniforms, etc. We also work with school representatives to improve sports facilites for our school. Meetings are held the second monday of every month at 6pm in the Town Hall room at JHS.

Exciting news! Joppatowne High School teacher Erica Richardson is Maryland’s recipient of the 2026 NEA Foundation Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence!

Erica, our 2024 HCPS Teacher of the Year, is one of only 48 educators nationwide to receive this prestigious honor. At Joppatowne, she not only teaches Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Criminal Justice, World History, and College Sociology, but also serves as Social Studies Chairperson, Homeland Security Program Coordinator, Senior Class Advisor, and coaches football, girls’ basketball, and track & field.

She will be honored alongside fellow recipients at the 2026 Salute to Excellence in Education Gala in Washington, D.C. this February, where she will represent both Maryland and HCPS on the national stage.

We are proud to celebrate Erica’s remarkable achievements and her lasting impact on her students, Joppatowne High, and the Harford County community!
