Football Camp is officially in the books! 🏈💪

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made it such a great week:

Our athletes for showing up ready to learn and compete, and their parents who supported them.

Our high school coaches and players for investing in the next generation.

Our middle school coaching staff for pouring into these young men.

And every youth football coach and volunteer who gave their time to make this camp a success.

It takes a team to build a program, and we’re thankful for everyone who played a part.

The future is bright for Cougar football🔥

We had an awesome first night of camp and we’re ready to keep building tonight! 💪

Night two kicks off at 5:30. With the heat still hanging around, we’ll start the evening indoors with the first 45 minutes dedicated to film and football IQ before heading outside.

Also, a big shoutout to last night’s Punt, Pass & Kick winners! 🏆 Great job, guys, keep competing!

Offensive Coordinator, Coach Rambo putting the offense through film study this week. It’s a real treat to end an intense lifting session with some classroom time. The boys who put in the time this summer are gonna have a real advantage going into camp next week.

We’re still hoping to add one more game and maybe even turn one of these road games into a home game. 🤞 Until then, this is our current schedule for the season.

This morning during weights, we talked about something that is just as important as what happens in the weight room…what happens before you arrive!

If you’re going to sacrifice your time to get up early and put in the work, make sure you’re getting the most return on that investment. You can’t expect your body to perform its best if you never give it the fuel it needs.

Our focus was simple, each morning prioritize: Protein + Carbs + Water

🥚 Protein = Building blocks

🍌 Carbs = Fuel

💧 Water = Keeps everything working

It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. We discussed some easy breakfasts that the boys can make themselves including:

- Eggs and toast
- Greek yogurt with fruit
- Oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder
- Peanut butter on toast with a banana
- Cottage cheese and fruit

Our goal is to build up young men who understand that success isn’t found in one big moment, it’s found in the small, consistent decisions they make every day.

Don’t waste the work. Fuel it!
