From 0-6 in 2024, to 6-0 in 2026. Tonight these boys capped and undefeated season at home in front of an amazing crowd. Couldn’t be more proud of them, especially these 8th graders that led the way. Can’t wait to cheer them on under those Friday Night Lights!

Yesterday was our final full practice of the season, and we took some time to recognize this year’s Mad Dawg leaders on both offense and defense!

The Mad Dawg Award recognizes players who lead by example: showing up every day ready to work, eager to learn, keeping their heads up, and continuing to fight through adversity. These are the guys who embody the toughness, attitude, and commitment we want to see woven into our program.

🏈 2026 Mad Dawg Award Recipients

💪 Offense: C**t Cummings ( #25)
🛡️ Defense: Ethan Landers ( #12)

Congratulations to both of these young men!

Thank you for the example you’ve set for your teammates and for representing what it means to be a Cougar!

We were originally scheduled to play this game at a different field here in Joplin, but that didn’t work out. We’re excited to officially announce that Fred G. Hughes Stadium will be our home field!
