Last Fridays field trip to the ETSU Planetarium didn’t just happen.

Karen, one of our middle school learners, reached out to professors at ETSU and arranged the entire experience herself—and today, she stepped into that leadership role and helped guide the visit she created.

Watching a young person take initiative like that—making real connections, creating opportunities, and leading others—is something you don’t forget.

This is what can happen when learners are trusted with real responsibility and given space to grow into it.

Apply before June 15 to be enrolled in time to receive the EFS Scholarship. It covers 75% of annual tuition.

Today we start a new session which also means a new Quest!

We kicked off our astronomy and space quest today with the first challenge being… playing old school games (space invaders, asteroids, and galaga! The heroes took part in a friendly competition where the highest 4 scores in each game won eagle bucks.

Safe to say, I think it was a hit! 😉
