💙 The Inspire Impact: Harper
At Inspire Autism Foundation, we know that supporting a student also means supporting the family walking alongside them. Today, we’re honored to share Harper’s story in her parents’ own words.
“One of the most important parts of raising a child with autism is having a strong support system, people who stand beside you when you feel tired, overwhelmed, or unsure, and who help you navigate each challenge as it comes. For our family, that support has been found at Inspire.
Whether assisting with homeschool work, encouraging social growth, or simply meeting my daughter exactly where she is, the staff at Inspire have consistently shown patience, understanding, and genuine care.
When my daughter’s homeschool work became too difficult, the staff helped us recognize that a change was needed and guided us toward a program that better fit her needs. Their insight and support made a meaningful difference, helping create a learning environment where she could feel more confident and successful.
There was a time when going to school was a struggle, but now my daughter looks forward to school and to seeing her friends. I especially value Inspire’s focus on life skills and community engagement. Activities that were once difficult for us, such as going into stores, have become experiences we can approach with more confidence and even look forward to.
One of my greatest hopes is for my daughter to become as independent as possible, and I believe the skills Inspire teaches and reinforces are helping her move toward that goal.
What we love most is that Inspire feels like home. We are always welcomed with kindness, no matter when we come, and that sense of belonging means so much to our family. Inspire has been more than a school for us. It has been a place of support, growth, and hope.”

Growth isn’t always measured by grades or big milestones. Sometimes it’s looking forward to seeing friends, walking into a store with more confidence, learning a new life skill, or finding a place that truly feels like home.
Harper’s journey is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Helping each student grow in confidence, independence, connection, and belonging.
