ACE Georgia Field Trip – Day 3

What an incredible day of adventure, learning, and fun for our ACE students!

The day began with a visit to the breathtaking Driftwood Beach, where students explored one of Georgia’s most picturesque natural treasures. Surrounded by the beauty of the shoreline and its iconic driftwood formations, they enjoyed hands-on learning, observation, and an art project inspired by the unique landscape around them.

The excitement continued with some souvenir shopping, Chik-fil-A for lunch, followed by a special ice cream treat generously provided by Mr. Seagar! 🍦

In the afternoon, students had the opportunity to learn how to surf, paddleboard, and skimboard with professional instructors. Along the way, they gained valuable knowledge about ocean tides, currents, and water safety while building confidence and trying new skills.

The day concluded with a meaningful Bible study and another creative art activity, allowing students to reflect on their experiences and the beauty of God’s creation.

DAY 2 OF THE ACE GEORGIA ADVENTURE!

Our Bishop McCort Elementary ACE students had another unforgettable day exploring the natural wonders of coastal Georgia!

Today, students traveled to the breathtaking Okefenokee Swamp, where they studied local ecosystems and wildlife while experiencing one of the most unique natural habitats in the country. A highlight of the day was a boat ride through the swamp, where students spotted alligators, birds, turtles, and other fascinating wildlife in their natural environment.

The adventure continued in the evening as students headed to the beach for hands-on learning and fun. They searched for shells along the shoreline, explored the coastal environment, and were thrilled to spot local dolphins swimming nearby!

To cap off an incredible day, students participated in an art project and Bible study, reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation and the lessons learned throughout their journey.

From swamps to beaches, wildlife encounters to faith-filled reflection, Day 2 was packed with learning, discovery, and memories that will last a lifetime!

ACE Program Adventures in Georgia!

Our Bishop McCort ACE Program students had an incredible first day on their educational trip to St. Simons Island, Georgia, highlighted by an unforgettable visit to Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base!

Students had the opportunity to experience hands-on training and demonstrations through the Ship Control Team Trainer, Missile Tube Team Trainer, Bridge Trainer, and Coast Guard Trainer, gaining a unique look into the operations and technology that help protect our nation.

The excitement didn’t stop there! Students also enjoyed seeing local wildlife, including an alligator and a turtle, and were treated to a special presentation from the police canine unit, where they learned about the important role K-9 officers play in law enforcement.

A special thank you goes out to Mr. Seagar and the entire Bishop McCort team for helping make this amazing experience possible. Our students had a fantastic first day filled with learning, exploration, and memories that will last a lifetime.

East Campus students celebrated with the end of the year GLOW party.

This week, the 5th-grade students at the West Campus introduced the game Math 24 to 3rd-grade students.

BMCE students visited Sandyvale Memorial Gardens and Conservancy They learned about the different ways plants grow, hydroponics, the healing garden, the stop on the Underground Railroad, and the history of Sandyvale.
