This is a fantastic piece on Code for America Brigade program, the daily struggles of the brigades. I started Code for Jersey City as OpenJC in December of 2013 before Akisia Grigsby and Emmanuel A. Simon stepped into the co-captain roles. It was one of the best experiences of my life, but it was exhausting at the same time.
Most importantly, I met many fellow activists who believe in , , and . Together, we created a community to bridge the gap between government and residents through innovation and technology.
