Condition Orange Defense Academy We offer Ed Parker's American Kenpo karate classes for ages 8-adult. Martial arts training helps improve confidence and self-control.

CODA offers our studentsmartial arts training based on Grandmaster Michael Robert Pick's UKF curriculum which originated from Ed Parker’s American Kenpo karate. For children it teaches respect, discipline, teamwork, integrity, and modesty. It is also a great way to get fit, have fun, relieve stress, and make new friends. Our classes are well structured and separated into age groups to ensure students get the most out of training at CODA. Martial arts iis a great activity for kids who don't want to be involved in traditional sports.

We need a few more 7-9 year olds for our class starting in November! Classes are Monday and Thursday at 5:30pm. Cost is $80 a month or $75 if you do autopay. We do lots of discounts for families who have more than one child!

Our 10-14 year old class has very few spots left in it. That class meets Monday and Thursday 6:30pm.

At CODA we keep our classes small because we take the mentoring piece of what we do very seriously. We do not have a karate school to make money, we do it because we care and we love to use our gifts to contribute to community!! Please message us if you are interested!!! Or call 207-619-1223.

Karate is not about "beating people up". In fact, we teach our students how to de-escalate situations so being physical does not need to happen. Our kids are learning how to communicate effectively with others so they can participate in tough conversations and diffuse conflict.

I worked as a Teen Educator and Counselor for an agency where I went into schools, did presentations and worked with kids on subjects such as, Bullying, Teen Dating Violence, and other tough topics. Jim as been instructing kids and teens for over 17 years. We are really hoping the parents and schools will let us be a support system for the kids in our community!

Our 7-9 year old class begins in November. Their class will be held
Monday & Thursday 5:30pm.

10-14 year old - we have a GREAT group of kids right now who really support one another and we would love to add a few more.
Monday & Thursday 6:30pm

15-Adults - Jim has a core group of adults who have been with him for over 5 years and they would love a few more students!
Monday & Thursday 7:30pm
