🇧🇦 Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Esmir Bajraktarević was born in Appleton, WI in 2005. He played some of his club soccer in the Milwaukee area, earning him the nickname “Milwaukee Messi.” His penalty kick in the shootout against Italy in March secured Bosnia’s second ever World Cup appearance, the first being in 2014.

For High School tryouts tonight there are NO CLEATS allowed. You must wear turf shoes, futsal shoes, or tennis shoes.

Cleats are NOT allowed on the Woodman’s Center turf.

Reminder that High School evals will be held at the Woodman's Center at the Janesville Mall tonight (Wednesday, June 17th) on their turf field. With limited space, boys will go from 4:00pm-5:30pm and girls will go from 5:30-7:00pm. Still plan to arrive 30m early to check in. See everyone in a few hours!

Summer Camp info below! ☀️

If your players will be on a U9-U15 team this fall, they're invited to join us at next month's summer camp, where we'll pack as much practice, game play, and fun as we can into four, 2.5 hour sessions. This is a prime opportunity to get some good touches in during the summer vacation (and to see friends/teammates for 4 days straight).

If interested, players can be signed up through your PlayMetrics accounts. The registration fee includes a t-shirt and a soccer ball for all participants.

RSCR Summer Camp: July 20-23

Are you a high schooler wanting to play at the collegiate level? The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association is hosting a College ID Camp on July 13th at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee. This is a great, one day opportunity to be able to show several local college and university coaches what you could bring to their teams.

Fun fact: Cape Verde center-back, Roberto ‘Pico’ Lopes, was born in Dublin and played for Ireland as a youth international. He was invited to the Cape Verde senior team via LinkedIn, originally ignoring the message as spam due to it being in Portuguese.

9 months later, another was sent in English and Lopes quickly committed his international future to his father’s homeland, debuting in a 2-0 win over Togo in October, 2019. Nearly 7 years later, he’ll feature in Cape Verde’s first World Cup.
