In 2021, we took on a task that many thought was impossible.
We accepted the surrender of 159 pigs in desperate need of veterinary care, infrastructure repairs, funding, manpower, and stability. And we didn’t just agree to help them. We moved our ENTIRE operation into their home to give them the future they deserved.
It marked the single biggest rescue we’d ever attempted, and holy moly, it was a DOOZY!!! 🤣
Odd Man Inn started as a tiny operation on private property in Washougal, WA. Eleven years later, she’s a bustling BEHEMOTH of an organization, regularly taking in some of the hardest-to-place animals in one of the most challenging parts of the country for farmed animals.
Turns out, we named this organization pretty darn appropriately eleven years ago. 🥰
We take the ones who don’t quite fit anywhere else. The ones with complicated needs. The ones who require more resources, more patience, more creativity, and more commitment than most can offer. And we do it in a region where safe options for these animals are desperately scarce.
We’ve never been afraid of the hard work. We’ve built an entire organization around it.
