Tabling Tuesday!! The Public Health, Interdisciplinary Sciences, and Kinesiology interns were out educating Ospreys once again!! Today was all about 💤 😴
The interns asked students, “What keeps you up at night?” Answers varied from TV 📺, social media, stress, homework 📚, and more. The interns provided resources to improve one’s sleep and goodie bags with a sleep mask, ear plugs, relaxing tea, eye patches to destress, and more.
They are excited to continue to offer a variety of topics throughout the summer. Swing on by!

Today we celebrated Aiden Simonsen, Student Health Services’ very first Intern! Aiden studied the intersection of health and nature, discovering what barriers students have in meeting the recommended 2-hours a week in nature, and created a map of nature resources for the myWings tile. We are so proud of her and the foundation she built for future interns. Congratulations 🎉 Aiden!!

It is my honor to announce Dr. Julie Baker-Townsend, APRN, as the 2026 Student Health Services DAISY 🌼 Awardee. Her patients clearly see the difference she makes. She creates a space where patients feel safe, especially when they need it most. She listens in ways that validate their concerns and empowers their voices. She goes beyond the expected, ensuring that every patient leaves with clarity, confidence and trust in their care. Congratulations, Julie!
