🌱 Environmental Stewardship Event:
Hike With a Naturalist at Little River Canyon
📌🗓️ Saturday, September 20th, 2025
🕒10 AM - 12 PM
📍Little River Falls Picnic Area
Join the JSU Field School to discuss the plants, animals, and natural history of the area as we hike the trails. Free hike, but registration is encouraged.

WEATHER: As with all outdoor events, if it's raining/stormy or very poor trail conditions, we may have to cancel. If the weather is questionable, please check with the Canyon Center.

However, as Jax State academic badges are all red, ours are unique, displaying a colorful array for the background of the microcredential!
Where will you see this change?
This change will be displayed on Credentials (jsu.badgr.com) and when you earn a JaxMIX microcredential you will be presented with the new design to share as an accomplishment to potential employers!

Did you know that Alabama is one of the most cave dense areas in the world? Join Adventure Recreation as we spend the day underground exploring Tumbling Rock Cave. You will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations and underground waterfalls in one of the most accessible "wild" caves in the state.

Trip Date: November 17th

What we provide: Instruction, all caving equipment, transportation, park permits

What you provide: Closed toed shoes, appropriate clothing, two 32 oz. water bottles, sack lunch
