Our Bobcat parents rocked the family line dance—on beat and full of energy!
Families dove into a STEM challenge, building closed-circuit light puppets.
A big shoutout to JSO for the ATV showcase and JFRD for letting our kids explore the firetruck.
Full Service Schools and ESS joined in with bubbles, resources, and hiring info.

Everyone left with dinner for the family and a new forever puppet light!

Don Brewer Elementary had an amazing first week of school! Our Bobcats came in vibrant, full of energy, and excited to learn. Parents—yes, I did tell them to wear you out over the weekend, and I hope you had the chance to make wonderful memories together.

This year, we’re taking our students on a whimsical journey to travel the world in 180 days! 🌎✈️ Only at Don Brewer can your child explore almost every country without leaving the classroom. Our teachers are diving deep into adventures—one class was even greeted by their teacher in full costume, representing a country they’re exploring!

We are so grateful that you entrust us with your children each day. Thank you for sharing your babies with us—we truly enjoy teaching, guiding, and learning alongside them. 💙

At Don Brewer, we believe in the power of joy, energy, and a little bit of whimsical fun! Today, as I’m working in my office, I catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye. Is that Ms. Baker… zooming in slow motion on a bear’s back? Nah, my mind must be playing tricks on me…

But sure enough, I walk out, and there she is—smiling and riding a BEAR. And who’s next? None other than our very serious AP, right behind her!

I follow them, and what do I see? Our Extended Day teachers and students have lost their minds—and in the best way possible! Everyone is laughing, smiling, and soaking in the magic of Captain Character, his animals, balloons, rides, and all the unicorns and rainbows you could imagine.

Today’s theme: whimsical joy.
And boy, did we feel it! 💫🐾

EVERY CHILD, EVERY DAY!
At Don Brewer, we know it takes a village to support our Bobcat Nation! That’s why we’re so grateful to everyone who helps make our school a safe, clean, and welcoming space for our students.
Recently, one of our faculty members, Angela Riley-Maxwell, had a brilliant idea—let’s show some love to the incredible team who sees every child, every day: our security staff, custodians, and cafe crew.
With that spark of inspiration, we all jumped on board! Together, we hosted a catered luncheon to honor their hard work, dedication, and the countless ways they support our school community.
They were surprised and truly appreciated the gesture, and we were thrilled to give them a moment to relax and feel celebrated!

Thank you, Riley-Maxwell, for leading the charge on this selfless event, and thank you to everyone who supports our Bobcats in big and small ways, every single day. 💙🐾

🎉 Fifth Grade Promotional Ceremony! 🎉

Our 5th grade ceremony was an absolute blast! Students were celebrated with framed photo certificates, medals, and trophies for their many accomplishments. Fifth Grade Week was a truly unforgettable experience!

Our students looked AMAZING in their house-identified stoles and graduation glam! The student speakers, soloist, and class song were all mega hits!

Mission accomplished—as evidenced by the 5th grade tears during the slideshow. 🥹 Congratulations to our incredible fifth graders on their achievements and bright futures! 🌟🎓
