I haven't been able to post as much due to going back to work.
Something I've been thinking about is how divisive the topic of fi****ms.
But no one seems to talk about how it can also bring alot of people together.
Being on active duty one of the perks I have with the job is running ranges and training my guys (getting paid to shoot is always a good time).
We had the range setup for 40 shooters, whether or not we get that many to show up was another matter.
I got a call Sunday two weeks before the range from a group of drill instructors from Parris Island (6 hours away) who got told they needed to rifle qual before they started another cycle in February.
Point is, I had no idea who these guys were and I would be giving up spots for my guys to accommodate them.
I ended up having a couple extra spots so I told them "if you are willing to drive I'm willing to accommodate you"
After talking to them I learned that if they couldn't make this range I set up they would have to spend a whole week away from their families getting the same requirement done.
At the end of the day I had 40 Marines qualified and I made 4 new friends in South Carolina.
They were awesome enough to gift me some awesome things from the island and their company (pics below).

As the old saying goes "If you can....you must!"
