Week 1 of summer basketball camp is in the books. Monday we went to Alexandria for a practice/scrimmage. Today, we went to Gadsden State and played 2 games back to back against St. Clair County and Collinsville. The girls competed their tails off. What I liked the most was our intensity on defense, rebounding, and getting after the ball. Even with us not being in “basketball” shape, we still played with a lot of effort and intensity. A lot of the stuff we’re trying to do is new to the girls so it’ll take some time but I’m super proud of the way they competed.

Next week is Jax State camp 🏀

Enjoyed spending the day with Coach Herbert at the AABC. Great clinic with some of the most knowledgeable coaches in the college game. Learning isn’t just for the players.
