The problem with our "instant-gratification/NOW" culture is that we will try to gather up as much information as possible to go from "I want" to "I have arrived" without even going through the journey in between.ββββββββ

It is a completely natural part of life to feel uncomfortable at times about our bodies, in & out. We hold a lot of expectation for ourselves on how our bodies look but also how our bodies should feel. We can't always feel 100% about our bodies because life is uncomfortable at times.ββββββββ

-Why do I feel uncomfortable? Is it because of a changing environment? Is it hormones? Is it something internal? I.e. going through emotional triggers, etc. ββββββββ
Is it external? I.e. unsolicited comments about my body, signs of stress, overwork.ββββββββ

If I'm being honest, so many people have imprinted in my mind uncomfortable things about my body that are just not real. This started when I was young βdonβt lift too much, your legs are already too bigββ¦Then, when I started to travel to other cultures, I realized how comfortable some cultures are with emphasizing & commenting on another personβs (even a stranger) physical being. It was really hard to push past when I started experiencing it constantly. It seemed no-one cared about the amazing things I could do with my body or how much more I had to offer. Comments were positive & negative & EVER so constant.ββββββββ

-How am I doing emotionally? Have I had some emotional ups and downs lately? Am I on edge? What's causing it?β β β β β β β β β
-How am I doing relationally? Am I spending time with MY people, the people who make me come alive? Have I been getting in arguments with those around me more easily? Have I been shutting people out?β β β β β β β β β
-How am I doing spiritually? Have I been spending time being mindful or praying/meditating? Am I feeling fulfillment in my spirituality like normal?β β β β β β β β β
-How am I doing mentally? Am I getting stuck in my own head? Constantly trashing everything I do and everything someone says to me? Am I dwelling on things mentally to the point of numbing out to shut out the thoughts? What's been going on around me to cause this?β β β β β β β β β

You know what it also does? It ruins apart of the health of the person its directed at, emotionally, relationally, and mentally.β β β β β β β β β
